Meet the Family Behind MGL Tree Service

MGL Tree Service is a family business in every sense. It's owned and operated by Shine and Nichole Shinebayar, a husband-and-wife team who built the company on a simple foundation: hard work, honesty, and treating people the way they'd want to be treated.

Their story starts with a leap of faith, literally. Nichole grew up in Northwest Indiana, and after turning her life over to Christ, she felt called to serve on a mission trip halfway around the world, in Mongolia. It was there that she met Shine. The two married and built their life together here in Northwest Indiana, where they're now raising their two boys, Elijah and Zion, with plenty of help from Dewey, the family dog. This winter, they're looking forward to welcoming a new addition to the family, timed, fittingly, for the slower season when the trees are dormant and there's a little more room to breathe. The boys are already growing up around the business, the next generation of MGL in the making.

As a family, they love being outdoors, hiking, exploring the local beaches, and finding any excuse to show Elijah and Zion the natural beauty all around them in Northwest Indiana. That appreciation for the outdoors is a big part of why they do what they do. Caring for trees and the landscapes people call home isn't just a job to them, it's an extension of how they live.
